Seeing Double: Kids’ Books for and Featuring Twins
If you have other children in your family when your twins are born, you have the extra challenge of preparing them for the new additions. One key component of that is setting expectations of what life will be like with twins. They are written from the perspective of the older sibling. In fact, these books are written by Paris Morris, who was the older sibling when her twin siblings arrived. Although our twins are already a part of our family, I read these books with our kids and they liked them, the twins and their brothers alike. The approval meter merited many repeat readings. Each book walks through what the older sibling is seeing, feeling, and thinking and how the twins fit in with her life.
Happy Twin Tuesday! I love adding books to our collection that my kiddos can relate to and use them as a way to spark conversation. We know our twins are special because of the bond they share and yet unique in how they have their own personalities and own interests. I loved that all these books celebrate the joy of twins and how lucky and blessed we are that we have them in our family. Hands down, this book is my pick for the favorite. We already had another popular book in this series, God Gave Us You , which we loved so I had some high expectations.
This list of the best kids books about twins is sure to include a new favorite for the voracious young reader in your life!.
